Jay-Z Changes The Game

Some years ago, Sean Carter purchased a percentage of the New Jersey Nets to be a part-owner. He does not own much but he does get a percentage of the total payroll that the player's receive yearly, so really, the Nets could go 0-82 like he said In Paris. Jay-Z has changed the game and is calling the shots since the Nets are in Brooklyn now.

Just last week a sports writer had some harsh words for Jigga since he was given a more authoritative role in Marketing for the Brooklyn Nets. He questioned why the colors were what they were, dude was very disrespectful actually, which is why I admire how Jigga explains his reasoning for making such a statement and clarifying the Brooklyn Way and the roots of designing the logo. I think its classic as well, no NBA team has these colors, every team I've created on NBA Live, NBA 2K or Madden's uniforms were the same colors.

Jigga says:

"It's real gritty and Brooklyn is not about flash --well, sometimes. Just the roots of Brooklyn as this very bold, strong, simple logo. It was really a take off the old subway signs, if you look at the old subway signs they were in black and white. It was that strong, beautiful, iconic black and white. I wanted to pick something that would stand the test of time and be here forever."

HELLO BROOKLYN.
