As I stroll through the neighborhood, it's like second nature to check out what's on people's feet. You should start a poll to see what kicks are worn most frequently. Just taking a lucky guest, what brand do people where the most? Nikes of course. Specifically, people are rocking J's and its all ages of people, not just the kids ya know. Uncles, aunties, cousins and Moms & Dads around the world are too. Overtime, wearing Jordans has become a symbol. For those that can not afford a better lifestyle, those Jordan's make up for what some lack.
This is not a bashing Jordan article, it's just a glimpse into how we can change the narrative and culture by creating greater awarenesses and also the positive and powerful icons taking responsibility for their culture. Vacations are cool, fun and necessary. Spending money in poorer countries, booming their economy and restoring their traditions and cultures goes unnoticed because of the fun and excitement. Just know we keep shitting on the hood and the people because we do not understand how powerful and in control we are.
