One would have to really examine to truthfully state that "Part II," "2" or "The Sequel" of any movie in the last decade has been able to stand on its own with the original. I can say for fact that "The Best Man Holiday" was one that stood the test of time. How long have you been waiting to see a second edition to "The Best Man" movie? Are you waiting to see a sequel to "The Wood" or " Menace 2 Society," or are you satisfied with the respect we have within the movie industry? Should I say, are you happy with the lack of appreciation shown towards our craft? Are you so desensitized that you miss the point of supporting us? If we don't start supporting us & taking one another's ideas serious, then we'll be the laughing stock, forever.
A number of people mention how much they cried during "The Best Man Holiday" and I even witnessed people laughing during serious moments, maybe they were laughing from crying; I fall in that category. "The Best Man Holiday" was so good I almost cried because I saw the bigger picture... I appreciated the actors & actresses because I envisioned them garnishing respect, admiration and engulfing a flame within this KNEW CULTURE we're entering into. Despite the movies, music, ideologies, ignorance (due to a lack of knowledge) and poor leadership that overpowers what messages we should intake, digest and shart out to the world, there is pulse of vibrant brilliance waiting to be unleashed because of the great expressions of love, loyalty, God, family, support, happiness, dedication, forgiveness and success that this movie fostered.
